After that you’ll need to input your Answer Point – this is where you want the 1300 number to connect to. Most typically this is your Mobile Phone. Bear in mind you can change this in real time, at any time in the future.
And – that’s the hard part honestly. The rest is just your business details, addresses, emails, contact numbers and credit card details. Simple Telecom living up to it’s name ☺

Why Simple Telecom for Cheap 1300 Numbers
ave you ever gone shopping for a plant in Bunnings vs shopping at a local nursery store? How easy did you find someone to help you with your purchase at each place?
In this analogy Simple Telecom is your local nursery. Simple Telecom don’t carry the full range of products like the ASX listed telco’s, but Simple Telecom does carry a specific range of products and does them very well. The staff are absolute experts and because there is such a narrow focus, Simple Telecom is able to offer an amazing product at a dirt cheap price.
The feedback Simple Telecom gets more than any other feedback is the appreciation to talk to a problem solver 1st go when they call in with a support request. Even though Simple Telecom prefers email based support requests (As the are less disruptive to business work flow) customers love that often they speak with David directly, and he is able to solve whatever the issue may be on the spot.
Simple Telecom are more than willing to work with customers for custom pricing if their usage requiremetns don’t fit into one of the off the shelf plans. Simple Telecom have also been know to beat the competitions pricing where necessary, but there isn’t really much difference to be found no matter who you compare Simple Telcom’s plans to – if anything it will be matching some pricing from 10 years ago, which is cool, the staff will bend over backwards to sort you out and make it a good deal for everyone.
How Does Pricing Works?
The pricing is broken into three main pieces (with maybe 1 or 2 extra bits).
- The Monthly fee
- The per minute rate for landing to a fixed line
- The per minute rate for landing to a mobile
The extra bits are either a $ amount of credit included (offset against the per minute rates).
And/or included minutes of the fixed or mobile or both.
The monthly fee is going to be your minimum monthly charge. Then any call charges will be on top of this fee. If you get no calls – then no fees. The pricing is listed per minute, but it is actually billed per second. Simple Telecom does this to offer the best and cheapest 1300 numbers possible for you. If there are any included minutes or $ value credits, these will be added back to your account each day until exhausted.
There are no contracts on standard 1300 numbers. Just a month by month ongoing contract, which requires 30 days notice to cancel. You will be charged in advance for the monthly fees.
Why is Simple Telecom easier to Understand than other providers?
Simple Telecom was founded by David Thomas, a local Australian guy. At the time, Dave was only 21 years old and found himself in a unique position. Not having any idea what he realy was doing, he was encouraged by his former boss to start up a Telco. With the amazing brand name “Digital Network Innovations” David launched the business and fairly easily started attracting new customers through Google Adwords, which at the time only cost a few cents per click. Fast forward a few years, the company has rebranded to Simple Telecom due to the consistent feedback from customers of the simplicity of the product set and David’s ability to communicate and setup the business 1300 numbers for customers.
In retrospect, this became a core value of Simple Telecom. To take complex products and make them easy for the average business owner to understand, utilise and maximise. This is evident through the simplicity of plans and ease of ongoing business with Simple Telecom. The Simple Telecom plans only have a few moving parts as compared to the full swag of pricing intricacies that you will experience elsewhere. Simple pricing makes it easy to understand how much the product is going to cost you, and makes it easier to compare when selecting a provider.
